Vulcan Vents have:Successfully passed the ASTM testing standards for ember and flame intrusion (ASTM E 2886 and ASTM E 2886M).
Are listed by California State Fire Marshal for use in the Wildland Urban Interface wildfires, under category 8165 of the Building Material Listing Program.
Were the first to be listed in the California Building Code (Chapter 7A).
Vulcan Vents have also passed the one (1) hour fire test under the ASTM E 119 one (1) hour fire test standard. This standard is applicable in property side yard setback issues where a one (1) hour fire rating is being required.

The core of our fire protection vents is manufactured out of high-grade aluminum honeycomb and coated with a proprietary intumescent coating made by FireFree Coatings.
